Watch Gregg Araki’s Film for Kenzo

Director Gregg Araki’s surreal California style has earned him a steady cult following since the ‘90s, and among his fans are none other than Kenzo creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim. The pair tapped Araki to shoot Kenzo’s fall campaign, a six-minute movie in the same vein as Nowhere, Araki’s grungy 1997 film from the Teenage Apocalypse Trilogy. Here Now starts with actors Jake Weary and Nicole LaLiberte sensually sharing a hamburger, to the chagrin of Weary’s recently devout twin sister, played by a habit-wearing Grace Victoria Cox. She passes a preachy booklet to Avan Jogia and Jacob Artist of Glee, who look on in splotchy shearling and Technicolor fur as Slowdive plays in the background. Watch the video to see more of this strange bar that serves smiling bowls of oatmeal, and, of course, Kenzo’s fall collection.
